A Salute ; This is how the Corsicans welcome you to their island of beauty! A natural island made up of rugged mountains with a tortured relief that plunge abruptly into the sea, fragrant scrubland alpine forests and enchanting shores, more reminiscent of distant paradises than Mediterranean landscapes.

You have chosen a natural setting for your stay. This choice has its advantages but it can also have disadvantages:
Perhaps you will be teased by ants? Their territory is under your feet, and this since a longtime before any construction. In order not to be disturbed, do not leave any crumbs on the floor, on the tables, nor any open foodstuff lying around. They will quickly be attracted to food and may then invade you.
You might see a few wasps, especially when eating outside. To keep them away, burn some freshly ground coffee in a dish. Above all, don't excite them with big gestures... Another tip: cloves stuck in half a lemon!
Spiders make part of the environment ! It is unavoidable, they weave webs everywhere, both indoors and outdoors. It is estimated that it takes an average of one hour of work and 30 metres of silk thread to make a web. So even if the cleaning is well done, they are inevitable. But do not worry, their stings are rare and without risk. They are the best natural for mosquitoes.
In Corsica the only snakes are the garter snake, harmless.
The biggest wild animal is without doubt the wild boar. It is omnipresent but not dangerous. Do not touch the boarlets and everything will be fine !
You will be lucky enough to come across land turtles. Today, Hermann's turtle is one of the most endangered reptiles in the world.
So please, let them live and if you see one on the road, just stop and help it cross the road. This species is protected.
And of course, mosquitoes, 47 species are listed in Corsica. The good reflex, avoid stagnant water (they reproduce there). One idea, fans keep them away. Against bites, good products exist... (with lemongrass)
At the beach, the sea can hide jellyfish, so if you're stung, carry a bottle of white vinegar in your bag, apply it to the burn and rub with sand. You'll feel better.
One last tip: don't leave your garbage around, as it quickly attracts all sorts of animals and insects...
